We know that,
where, e is the charge in the electron. Since, at the stopping potential, the photoelectric current cannot be obtained by increasing the intensity of the incident light. Thus, stopping potential or maximum kinetic energy of the photoelectrons, does not depend upon the intensity of the incident light. If the intensity of light be doubled, then the number of photoelectrons emitted per second is doubled.
So, n is doubled but remains same.
